Posted by Richard Lawson | Feb 19, 2011 | 0 Comments

The attorney responsible for prosecuting drunken drivers has been suspended for driving under the influence (DUI).

The Assistant Solicitor was arrested over the weekend and was placed on administrative leave without pay pending the outcome of an internal investigation.  He could face additional discipline or even possible termination from his position.

The State Attorney General's office will handle the prosecution to avoid conflict.
